Food Giveaway with Labor Community Services

The Walter J Company partnered again this year with Labor Community Services to distribute food to more than 350 families in the Westlake/MacArthur Park neighborhood. This year’s food kits included Thanksgiving staples such as mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce, as well as fresh mangoes and asparagus. For over six decades, Labor Community Services (in partnership with Los Angeles County Federation of Labor) has been assisting unemployed and underemployed union families with groceries during the year via pantries, the National Association of Letter Carriers Annual Food Drive, and holiday meal distribution.
